Pause & Reflect
There are many things by which the world teaches us to measure our lives: knowledge, achievements, influence, possessions, appearance and success. Yet God points us toward something infinitely greater—knowing Him. God does not merely invite you to know facts about Him. He invites you into relationship with Him. You may carry many titles: daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, professional, entrepreneur, leader or minister. Some titles may describe you now; others may never describe your particular journey. But none is more foundational than this: you are a woman invited to know God. Jeremiah reminds us that our greatest reason for confidence is not what we possess or accomplish, but that we understand and know the Lord. As you begin this devotional journey, resist the temptation to make spiritual growth another achievement to complete. Come instead with an open heart. Ask God to reveal His character through His Word. Learn His ways. Listen to Him. Walk with Him. The greatest transformation over these 365 days will not simply be knowing more Scripture. It will be knowing the God of Scripture more deeply—and allowing that knowledge to transform how you live.
Declare It Today
“I was created to know God. My identity is not rooted in my achievements, possessions or status. I will seek to know the Lord, delight in His character and allow my relationship with Him to shape every area of my life.”
Let's Pray
Father, thank You for inviting me to know You. Quiet every distraction that competes for my heart. As I begin this journey, give me a deeper hunger for Your Word and Your presence. Teach me Your ways and reveal Your character to me. May knowing You become the greatest treasure of my life. In Jesus' name, amen.
