Pause & Reflect
Paul tells us not to grow weary in doing good. Goodness is more than avoiding bad behaviour. It actively seeks what is right and beneficial. Sometimes doing good feels significant. Other times it looks ordinary. Preparing a meal. Encouraging someone. Doing your work honestly. Keeping your promise. Helping quietly. Giving generously. Speaking up when somebody is mistreated. Choosing integrity when dishonesty would be easier. We sometimes wait for extraordinary opportunities to make an impact while overlooking ordinary opportunities already in front of us. Goodness asks: “What good can I faithfully do with what God has placed in my hands today?”
Declare It Today
“I will not merely avoid what is wrong; I will actively pursue what is good. I will use today's opportunities to bless, serve and act with integrity.”
Let's Pray
Holy Spirit, open my eyes to opportunities for goodness today. Give me courage to do what is right even when nobody notices or rewards it. Amen.
