Pause & Reflect
The women came to the tomb expecting death. Instead they heard: “He is not here, for he has risen.” Christianity stands upon this announcement. Jesus was not merely a teacher whose influence continued after His death. He rose bodily from the grave. The resurrection vindicates His identity, confirms His victory and establishes the foundation of Christian hope. And notice again the role of women. They came to the tomb. They received the announcement. They were told to go and tell the disciples. The resurrection transformed frightened followers into witnesses because death itself had been defeated. You do not follow a dead founder. You follow the risen Christ. That changes how we face every lesser darkness.
Declare It Today
“Jesus Christ is risen. My faith rests in the living Lord, and because He conquered death, I have a hope that no earthly circumstance can ultimately destroy.”
Let's Pray
Risen Jesus, fill my heart again with the wonder of the resurrection. Deliver me from living as though death, fear or darkness has final authority. Make me a faithful witness to the hope found in You. Amen.
