Hungry for God's Word

Day 146

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

1 Peter 2:2–3

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Peter compares believers to newborn babies longing for milk. His point is spiritual appetite. Growth requires nourishment. Many Christians want stronger faith without creating room for the Word that nourishes faith. We cannot spend hours absorbing everything except Scripture and then wonder why biblical truth feels unfamiliar. Hunger can be cultivated. Start consistently. Read a manageable portion. Ask what the text actually says. Use trustworthy resources when the context is difficult. Write down questions. Meditate. Obey. Some days Scripture will feel immediately alive. Other days reading will feel ordinary. Keep feeding. A healthy appetite is strengthened through regular nourishment.

Declare It Today

“I want to grow through God's Word. I will cultivate a consistent appetite for Scripture and allow truth to nourish my faith and shape my life.”

Let's Pray

Lord, increase my hunger for Your Word. Give me discipline when motivation is low, understanding when passages are difficult and obedience when truth becomes clear. Amen.
