Pause & Reflect
Jesus promised: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me.” The Spirit's power has purpose. Witness. Sometimes conversations about spiritual power become centred upon what we can experience. Jesus centres the conversation upon what the Spirit empowers His people to do: bear witness to Him. Your witness includes words. People need to hear the gospel. But it also includes the character with which those words are carried. Courage. Love. Integrity. Compassion. Your mission field may include your home, workplace, university, business, neighbourhood, online presence or another nation. You don't need a platform before you can witness. You need faithfulness where God has placed you.
Declare It Today
“The Holy Spirit empowers me to bear witness to Jesus. I will not keep the hope of Christ entirely private; I will ask God for courage and opportunities to make Him known.”
Let's Pray
Holy Spirit, give me power and courage to witness about Jesus. Open my eyes to the people around me and help my words and character faithfully represent Christ. Amen.
