Pause & Reflect
Change is one of life's constants. People change. Jobs change. Families change. Health, finances, opportunities and plans can all change. God's character does not. When Scripture speaks about God's unchanging nature, it gives us something solid upon which to stand. The God who was holy remains holy. The God who was faithful remains faithful. The God who was merciful remains merciful. The God who kept His promises remains trustworthy. This doesn't mean God is inactive. Scripture records Him acting dynamically within history and relating personally to His people. It means His essential character is dependable. When life feels unstable, you don't need to find security by controlling every variable. You can anchor yourself in the One who remains God through every season.
Declare It Today
“God does not change. His character is dependable and His faithfulness is secure. When circumstances shift around me, I will anchor my heart in Him.”
Let's Pray
Unchanging God, thank You for being my stable foundation in an unpredictable world. When change makes me anxious, remind me who You are. Help me release what I cannot control and trust the One whose character never fails. Amen.
