Come to Me and Rest

Day 43

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Matthew 11:28–30

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Jesus speaks to the weary: “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.” Notice where rest is found. Come to Me. Jesus does not merely give us a technique for managing exhaustion. He gives us Himself. Many women carry visible and invisible loads—responsibility for work, family, ministry, finances, relationships and expectations. Sometimes even faith becomes another burden when we turn discipleship into an endless attempt to prove ourselves. Jesus' yoke is different. He is gentle and humble in heart. His rest does not mean we never work hard. Jesus Himself worked, served and sacrificed. It means we no longer carry life independently from Him. There are burdens you were never designed to carry as though you were God. Bring them to Christ. Then learn His way of living.

Declare It Today

“Jesus is my rest. I do not have to carry every burden in my own strength. I will come to Him, learn from Him and receive the rest found under His gracious lordship.”

Let's Pray

Jesus, I bring You the burdens I am carrying today. Show me which responsibilities are mine and which weights I have picked up unnecessarily. Teach me Your gentle way and give rest to my soul. Amen.
