Faith in the Storm

Day 98

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Mark 4:37–40

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

We have already seen Jesus calm the storm. Now consider the disciples' faith. Their fear was understandable. The boat was filling. But Jesus asked: “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?” The issue was not whether the storm existed. The issue was what they believed about Jesus in the middle of it. Storms expose our theology. It is easy to say God is trustworthy when life is predictable. Trouble reveals what we actually believe. Does difficulty mean God no longer cares? Does delay mean He is absent? Does fear mean faith has vanished? Not necessarily. Faith does not mean you never feel afraid. It means fear does not become your lord.

Declare It Today

“Storms do not change who Jesus is. When fear rises, I will remember His presence and authority and bring my anxiety under His lordship.”

Let's Pray

Jesus, meet me in the storms that reveal my fear. Teach me to trust You without pretending the danger is unreal. Let Your presence become greater in my awareness than the storm. Amen.
