Pause & Reflect
The father's prayer is one of the most honest in Scripture: “I believe. Help my unbelief!” Faith and struggle can exist in the same heart. Sometimes we think real faith means never experiencing doubt, questions or fear. This father shows us another path. He brought his imperfect faith directly to Jesus. He did not pretend. He did not wait until his confidence felt complete. He asked Jesus to help the part of him that still struggled. You can do the same. God is not threatened by honest questions. Bring them into His presence. Search Scripture. Seek wise counsel. Pray. Don't romanticise doubt, but don't hide it either. Faith grows when uncertainty drives us toward Christ rather than away from Him.
Declare It Today
“I can bring both faith and struggle honestly before Jesus. I will not hide my questions; I will ask God to strengthen my trust.”
Let's Pray
Jesus, I believe, and I also recognise places where fear and doubt remain. Help my unbelief. Ground me more deeply in Your truth and character. Amen.
