Faithful Is He Who Promised

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.” The verse does not tell us to hold on because we are strong. It tells us to hold on because He is faithful. That distinction changes everything. If hope depended upon our emotional consistency, it would be fragile. Some days you feel confident. Other days you feel weary. God's faithfulness does not fluctuate with your mood. When Scripture calls us to perseverance, the foundation is always God's character. This does not mean every personal expectation is a promise from God. We must distinguish what God has actually promised from what we simply hope He will do. But where God has spoken clearly, His character is trustworthy. Hold onto Him.
