Teach Me Your Ways

Day 22

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Psalm 25:4–5

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

David prayed: “Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths.” That is the prayer of a teachable heart. Spiritual maturity isn't reaching the point where nobody can tell us anything. The more we know God, the more we recognise how much we still need Him to teach us. Teachability requires humility. Sometimes God's Word will challenge assumptions we have held for years. Wise counsel may expose a blind spot. Correction may arrive through someone we did not expect. Our first instinct can be defensiveness. But the woman who genuinely wants God's ways more than her own asks: “Lord, what are You teaching me?” Not every criticism is correct and not every opinion deserves authority. Discernment remains necessary. But so does humility. Keep a heart that can still be taught.

Declare It Today

“I choose a teachable heart. I do not know everything, and I need God's wisdom. I will receive His instruction through Scripture and remain humble enough to grow.”

Let's Pray

Lord, show me Your ways and teach me Your paths. Expose pride and defensiveness in me. Give me discernment to recognise truth and humility to receive correction when I need it. Make me a lifelong learner at Your feet. Amen.
