Pause & Reflect
Jesus made an unmistakably strong claim: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” He did not say merely, “I know a way.” He said: “I am the way.” Christian faith is therefore not centred upon discovering a method of self-improvement. It is centred upon a Person. Jesus is the way to the Father. Jesus is truth embodied. Jesus is the source of life. This claim is exclusive, but it is not an invitation to arrogance. Christians do not come to God because we are superior to others. We come because we need the same grace offered to sinners everywhere. Knowing Jesus should therefore produce humility, gratitude and a desire for others to know Him too.
Declare It Today
“Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. My confidence before God is not in my goodness but in Christ. I will follow Him with humility and gratitude.”
Let's Pray
Jesus, thank You for bringing me to the Father. Keep me from trusting in myself or treating Your grace as a reason for pride. Deepen my love for truth and give me compassion for those who do not yet know You. Amen.
