Loved to the End

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

John 13:1–5

Pause & Reflect

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus washed His disciples’ feet. The One they rightly called Lord and Teacher took the posture of a servant. John introduces the scene by saying Jesus “loved them to the end.” Christ’s love is not merely spoken. It kneels. It serves. It gives. And Jesus tells His followers to learn from His example. Service can feel appealing when it is visible, appreciated and respected. It becomes more revealing when nobody notices. When the task feels beneath us. When gratitude is absent. When service costs time and convenience. Jesus does not call us to serve because we lack value. He serves from a position of secure identity. So can we. Humility is not pretending you are worthless. It is being secure enough in God to stop needing every task to prove your importance.

Declare It Today

“Jesus loved through humble service. Because my identity is secure in Him, I can serve without needing recognition to validate my worth.”

Let's Pray

Jesus, give me Your servant heart. Expose pride and the need for recognition in me. Help me serve faithfully, especially in the ordinary places where nobody applauds. Amen.
