Pause & Reflect
“If we live by the Spirit, let's also walk by the Spirit.” Another translation expresses the idea as keeping in step with the Spirit. It is an image of alignment. We can be eager for God to bless the direction we have already chosen while resisting His correction when He leads differently. Keeping in step requires attentiveness. Perhaps the Spirit uses Scripture to confront your attitude. Perhaps conviction comes during a conversation. Perhaps you recognise that your pace has become unhealthy. Perhaps you need to apologise instead of defending yourself. The question becomes: Will I adjust my steps? Walking with the Spirit is not merely about dramatic moments. It is responsive discipleship. And small acts of responsiveness, repeated over time, shape character.
Declare It Today
“I will keep in step with the Holy Spirit. When God's truth exposes an area that needs adjustment, I will respond rather than stubbornly continuing in my own direction.”
Let's Pray
Holy Spirit, make my heart responsive to You. Show me where my pace, priorities or choices are out of alignment with God's ways. Give me humility to adjust quickly. Amen.
